Better late than never!

Well I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas day yesterday and is feeling festively plump like me!

I know I said I wanted to post these before Christmas but I finished them about 5 minutes before I had to leave the house to go to a party so I had to wait until today.

Here goes with the pic....

Omg, my cuticles are vile! ewwww (I promise these will improve)

So, I started with a base of 17 - Nail Xtras Strengthening base coat as always and did 2 coats of Barry M - Matt White. Once dry, I used acrylic paint to paint little tacky Christmas jumper designs on all but my ring finger. The Green looks really bluey in these pics but I can assure you it's a lovely emeraldy colour.

Most of the design was done with a tiny brush with the exeption of the dots which I used various dotting tools for.

Hmmm, can you tell I attemped to disguise my nasty-ass cuticles in this pic?

On my ring finger I used 3 coats of Barry M - Gold Glitter to add a bit of festive sparkle.
I topped it all off, as always, with a good splodge of Seche Vite

I think my next mani will be a more generic one as I can't think of any more Christmas ones and technically it's no longer Christmas

Anyway, I hope you like them, please leave any comments in the space below

Over and out

  1. Hi Rachel! You asked me on instagram to tell you what i think of your blog so here goes: I think your designs are brilliant, for a beginner you definitely have skill and I can tell you're going to go far! In regards to your cuticles if you want to improve them you could always use LUSH lemon cuticle butter which is brilliant, or just hand cream always helps! I also think you need to add a GFC (google follower count) box at the side of your blog so people can follow you, you can find that in the widgets, and signing up for a bloglovin account never goes amiss either! Either way I think your blog is going to be really successful, thankyou for liking my blog too! :D

    1. Awww, thanks so much, that's really sweet of you to comment. I am using Lemony flutter at the moment and I love it, I'm one of those biters though, as soon as they start to heal I find a bit that needs a nibble. As i'm showing them to the world though, i'm going to make a concious effort to improve them. I'll have a look for the follower widget and bloglovin thanks for the tips! xx

  2. There are so many amazing products for your cuticles. I find in times of dire need (I am a biter too) grab some nailtiques skin and cutilce butter. It's amazing. Xxx
